Karl Villips is a winner on the PGA Tour. After being tied for the lead, Villips blitzed the final 5 holes to win going away by 3 shots. Joseph Bramlett finished solo third, which is his best finish on Tour.

Villips qualifies for the Players Championship, the majors, and is already being talked about as a President's Cup selection the next time the competition is played. 

Quite a meteoric rise from playing college golf less than a year ago for Stanford MGolf, but the Cardinal alums continue to produce on Tour this season!

The opposite tournament winners do not earn automatic qualification into the Masters, Open or U.S. Open.

Yes, but apparently Villips is ranked high enough in the respective rankings after today's win (could be OWGR, Fedex or some other metric) to qualify. I guess we will see when the fields are announced for the respective events. SI claims Villips is definitively in the PGA Championship.

Yes, he is in the PGA.  The Masters will require a win in a full field event before the tournament or a Top 50 ranking in the OWGR by the week before the tournament.  The Open and US Open requirements need to be met closer to those tourneys.
