He won the 1959 Cy Young when just one CY award was given for both leagues. He was 22-10, 3.17 ERA, led the league in innings pitched and walks. Also played in both all star games that year and was third in MVP Voting. Just 2.8 WAR. Hall of Fame Career, 300-244 overall. He beat out Sam Jones of the Giants (21-15) and fellow ChiSox, Bob Shaw, who was 18-6 with a 2.69 ERA. BTW, this was the year that Roy Face went 18-1.
