An NPR reporter has the exact amounts of these weapons that were en route and now being held in Poland.
By AIM I am presuming from earlier reporting that these are AIM-7 missiles. These are no longer in front line service with the US military.
This is seemingly an illegal impoundment, but I may be wrong.
In any case, unclear who would do anything about it, when the people who are trusted with enforcing the laws are the ones breaking it.
A couple Republican congressmen are upset about the hold. Others don't seem to want to look into too closely.

Quote:Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) said he is probing “very intensely” whether the Pentagon’s freeze is a breach of Ukraine aid legislation that Congress passed in 2024. He also argued the pause is coming “at the wrong time,” weakening Trump’s efforts to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate a peace deal with Ukraine.
