One player in ML history got hits for two different team in two cities on the same day.   Who is he?

Extra credit:  name the cities he played in  and the teams he played for that day (and night)!

My aging brain cells are not coming up with his name, but i believe he played a game for the Mets during the day, got traded, flew to another city , and played for the Expos that same night.
