Nice win last night, 7-4. Three things stood out:

1) Rafi Devers, Wilmer Flores, Casey Schmitt and Patrick Bailey homered. 16th game in a row that SFG has homered, tying the 1962 and 1963 San Francisco Giants for longest streak of HR games in a row. They have one more game in Denver tonight and may break that streak. Giants now 20th in MLB for HRs on the season with 147. 

2)  Devers was the second batter of the game when he hit his HR, and Colorado pitcher Freeland came unglued. Donnybrook ensues, SF''s next two batters (Chapman and Adames) come on the field and shove and punch Freeland. All three are kicked out. So Devers moves to third base (first time for SF), Koss moves to shortstop (first time for SF, but SS is his natural position), Schmitt moves to second base (he was injured when he was HBP the day before, but...needed), and Dom Smith moves to 1B. The makeshift infield turned two double plays. Nice.

Smith and Schmitt went 2 for 5, and Koss went 1 for 4. 

It was Devers' 30th home run, and his two RBIs make 96 on the season, obviously most of which came with Boston. Still...nice to have on the team.

3) Walker got his 13th save, Webb got his 13th win.

There is a chance that each Giants minor league teams will make post season play

Eugene's Nate Furman was named Northwest Player of the Week. He came in the Alex Cobb deal last summer with Jacob Bresnahan (2.13 ERA, 95 strikeouts and 35 walks in 71.2 innings with the SJ Giants). Furman is hitting .364/.490/.649/1.139. As PotW, he hit five HRs, had 11 hits, seven walks and no strikeouts in 32 plate appearances. Just got sent to Richmond, will play in Arizona Fall League. He's a likely add to the 40 man roster since he's eligible for the Rule 5 draft this winter.
