So, with under 20 games left in the MLB season, we still have not had any no-hitters.  Yoshinobu Yamamoto got close, giving up no hits against Baltimore for 8 2/3 innings before giving up a home run in the ninth.  In some delicious irony, the Dodger bullpen imploded and LA lost the game.  No hitters are pretty rare, with only 326 no-nos in MLB history out of about 250,000 total games, or about one in every 750ish games.  Since there are  2,430 total MLB games in a season you would expect about 3 no-hitters a season.  Thus, seasons without a no-hitter are actually rarer than you might think.

So, the trivia question is this: when was the last MLB season without a no-hitter?
