There have been 39 no-hitters in the last 10 years, so, notwithstanding this year’s drought, we are in a bit of “golden age” of no-hitters.
Last year without a no-no was 2005.

Some interesting stats in that article.
Only 29 seasons have been devoid of a no-hitter.
By 25-year span, the 2000’s have had an average of 3.1 no-hitters per year (of course, some of that is more games and more teams).
1926-1950 had the fewest no-hitters, averaging only 1 a year.
