But I have come around to the idea that Yu should be the starting setter.

And maybe Ipar Kurt has had her last start.

I hope the Georgia Tech match goes better.

Fubo and ESPN integration is now completely broken; so this is based on the season as a whole….

1. Setter will be interesting. It’s pretty clear that injuries have held Yu back all year including at least 2 stretches of missed games. Parks to me hasn’t been generally awful though she has been inconsistent, but it hasn’t been her amazing play that has kept Yu on the bench. Can Yu stay healthy enough to carry the load or is she just too dinged up this year to start consistently?

2. I think Hambly has been good on the OH subbing. As I said earlier, I didn’t think either player had seized a starting job, but I preferred JB. Over the last 5-6 games though I think Blyashov has differentiated herself from Kurt and the gap is growing. The way Hambly has handled things makes it’s hard for anyone to say or complain much. Both players have had a fair shot, and it would be reasonable to decide JB has come out on top.

3. DS as many have noted has been a big problem and seems to be getting worse. Options:
- play Kirsch
- I repeat try whichever of Yu or Parks isn’t setting.
- just don’t play a DS. I would rather have a pin receiving serve at this point over Pringle. Blyashov for example has been pretty solid lately even against Miami’s crazy serving.

BTW - I get recruiting a top hitter is hard in the NIL era, but how do we not have an even decent DS? And think what a mess things would be without Etzler being awesome day 1 and still improving.
