It is also very disheartening to see corruption scandals in Ukraine when the nation is fighting for its life. Zelenskyy doesn't deserve this. It takes a special kind of person to betray the trust of his fellow citizens under those conditions. It is even worse to undermine the legitimacy of a government that is dealing with an existential war while receiving wavering international support and unwillingness on the part of younger people to fight. Indeed, this war is being fought on Ukraine's side by people that wouldn't normally be accepted for combat duty in the US Army.
