Today, she was limited to 8 points and consistently pushed away from the block by the two Texas big girls. Against Oklahoma, Raegan Beers was stronger, pushing Betts away from her 'sweet spot' down low. Beers and Betts pretty much cancelled each other out. In last season's Final Four, (then) freshman Sarah Strong, really moved Betts away from the basket as UCONN rolled over the Bruins.
Betts has never developed the mobility necessary to be consistently dominant. She still looks 'mechanical' when she puts the ball on the floor. In my mind, the best center in all of college basketball without question is Iowa State's Audi Crooks.
ESPN mock WNBA draft has her projected as the #4 pick with Azzi Fudd currently being projected #1. I think she can play in the W but would have major issues guarding Aja Wilson, Breann Stewart etc. Betts that is.
