I'm sure some folks will miss the start of the late game if it ends up starting early. This isn't such a big deal with (I think) most people having DVR capability these days, and/or being able to stream a replay later. I'm sure it's good for TV as well as fans at the venue not to have a brobdingnagian wait for the second game, and finishing earlier is good for everyone.

Minor observation: this game not on the Stanford athletics website master calendar, but is on the WVB schedule page.

Say what? I'm not sure exactly what location you're referring to, but at gostanford.com, it's in the list of events scrolling across the top of the page...

Start time specified as "30 mins after conclusion of first match"

Yes, on Gostanford.com, I often click on the calendar icon in upper right. Gives good calendar look at every sporting event coming up. Todays WVB game not on it.
