Stanford alumna Sunny Villapando (who did her covid 5th year at USC) has started playing beach VB for the Philippines. Her team has had limited success so far in some FIVB events. But they did win the Gold Medal at the South East Asian Games in Thailand:

Not sure about the format, but it seems there are two pairs per country, and it's their combined results that count.
