Things are about to get interesting.  France seized a Russian shadow fleet sanctioned oil tanker.  We’ll see what they do with it.

Personally, I would vote that they sell the oil and give the proceeds to Ukraine.  I think a typical tanker has 500,000 to 800,000 barrels, so at today’s oil price, that might net about $40 million.

What about giving the tanker to Ukraine?  That's probably at least as much in value.

BBC rieports there have been 42 sanctioned Russian tankers going through the English Channel in the past 12 days.  Even if all UK did was to force them to stay docked (ie, not take the oil), that would get attention fast. 6 have passed bearing a false flag since January 1.
