I guess it depends on how you define primary conference. Does Notre Dame fit that description? (LOL) UConn is also football independent with the other sports in the Big East. And recently, Sac State announced a football-only affiliation with the MAC (Mid-American Conference), with most of the other sports going to the Big West conference. Army, Navy, UMass, Missouri State, Kennesaw State, Villanova, Northern Illinois, UC-Davis, North Dakota State, Sacred Heart, and William & Mary all have football affiliations different from the rest of their athletic department.
