My big concern for next year is depth. It was a big problem this year - Clardy especially wore out after Lepolo got hurt, but it was an issue everywhere. 7 players isn’t viable for a season (and it’s really only 6 right now for next year). And most of the players who maybe could have stepped into more minutes next year are leaving. It leaves me very concerned for next season.
I think they have to bring in a couple of transfers somehow; at a minimum they need 8 usable players going into the season.
I'm not ready to panic over losing an injury-prone nunu, a mid MAS, and a deer in the headlights, Amborn. I'd prefer to have them, but if they are the only losses, it's not a big deal. It is, however, only 4/3, so a mass exodus could still be on the horizon. If so, it might be the kick in the tail Stanford needs to: 1) get rich alumni like Sundar Pichai, Google CEO, Stanford Graduate, and 2026 Commencement Speaker, to donate $5 Billion to Stanford athletics and BUY THE TALENT, 2) Start RAIDING THE PORTAL. Hell, if we get enough donations from rich alumni, we can also hire Geno Auriemma.
