So Stanford does not include coaches. Got it. 

Courtney’s message “To my Coaches, thank you for the chance to compete and be part of the women’s basketball program. This experience has challenged me on so many levels and helped me learn more about myself in ways that will stay with me.” Sounds like a good college experience. 

I’m here just trying to understand if there is a problem within the Stanford Women’s Basketball program. Seems like a lot of unsubstantiated rumors without any facts. 

So when they don’t mention coaches it is negative and if they do it is negative even if it says positive things. Got it. 

Lara said “This is not an easy choice, and it comes with a lot of appreciation and respect for everything Stanford has given me.” But this is a secret message that Stanford was a toxic environment. Got it.

Yes, Stanford. Not the coaches. Read Harper's announcement - she literally thanks the physical therapists and support staff and the fans but no mention of the coaches. MAS's only mention of the coaches was that she told them she's out. Courtney's message could easily be interpreted as "To get through this I had to find levels of resilience I didn't know I had." As a lawyer, I write extremely carefully worded communications for a living - it is obvious by how they're saying what they're saying - and what they're not saying - what the problem is.

I feel like I was one of the last people to turn on the coaching staff even when there was a lot of objective reasons to doubt their collective capabilities based on the on-court performance. I don't say any of this lightly. Writing that email to Tara was extremely painful. But there is no viable path forward without changes at the top of the program.

BTW, is there a particular reason you've just emerged to cast doubt on what feels like quite a lot of evidence something is seriously wrong with the program? All of your posts have been to the effect of, "yeah, so what?" Just curious what your investment in this is since you just created your account a few days ago.
