Shouldn’t this community embrace newcomers rather than be suspicious of them? Isn’t that the spirit that will drive the expansion of Cardinal fandom - which we all agree is a good thing? Or are we just a snotty little circle of handwringers who want to wallow in the exclusivity of our despair?

imo it's not just or even primarily that alwaysright is new; more that alwaysright is largely challenging and rebutting - even snarky at times, eg. "facts" and "so stanford does not include coaches" - rather than adding any constructive perspective on how to stop the bleeding. so the context of the question would seem to be, why does a new poster appear out of nowhere with such a tone of aggression to fellow posters?
