Brooks Koepka won in 2017 and 2018. Interesting career...he's won only nine PGA events total, but five of them were majors, including back to back PGAs in 2018 and 2019 and the PGA again in 2023. Other PGA wins were the Waste Management Phoenix open in 2015 and 2021, the CJ Cup in 2018, the WGC/FedEx in 2019. He has five LIV wins.

Ralph Guldahl won the US Open in 1937 and 1938 (and the Masters in 1939). He won the Santa Monica PGA open in 1931 at the age of 20, a record that would not be equaled until 2013. He won 16 PGA events in the 1930s, and basically lost interest during WWII.

John McDermott was the first U. S.-born golfer to win the U. S. Open, winning at the age of 19 in 1911 (youngest USO winner ever, even younger than Ouimet), and again in 1912 -- becoming the first player to break par over 72 holes in a significant event. He won the Western Open when it was considered a major the next year. After the British Open in 1914, his ship collided with another ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The incident affected him so gravely that he collapsed upon his return at the age of 23, and spent the rest of his life in mental hospitals.

Willie Anderson is the only golfer to win three US Opens in a row, in 1903, 1904 and 1905 (he also won in 1901). He was a native Scot who emigrated to the USA at the age of 18. He won the Southern California Open in 1899. He served as club pro at ten clubs in 14 years (common for club pros at the time), dying at age 31 of epilepsy and alcoholism.
