It's pretty unprecedented. Politics has impacted World Cups before. This degree of corruption of the actual on field game, maybe the Argentinian junta in 78 leaning on refs. Mussolini in the 30s. Maybe Korea in 2002 but that's more subjective/plausibly deniable. Even so, those weren't changing results after the actual game.
