It just occurred to me that Paulo Alto's much appreciated color chart needs to be revised to account for the five years of eligibility over five years rule. Assuming I'm understanding the rule correctly, there are a lot of athletes who could be routinely getting at least a co-term masters degree by staying for year 5.

This seems very complicated for Stanford given how hard it has been traditionally to get admitted into a grad program.

I may be misremembering, but I think they made some change where a grad could take classes without being admitted to a traditional program...??? I think the part of my memory that I'm fairly certain is correct is that if Fran Belibi had graduated last year, she would be able to do the type of program she did at Harvard for a year.
