Aside from his experience as a player, and about a year and change of experience as a GM (poorly managing) Stanford, I don’t think he has much front office experience in the pros.  I don’t think he’d be a serious candidate, but what do I know.  IF he were a serious candidate, he would be silly not to at least consider it.  He may have family reasons not to take it.
