I predict we'll get more pressure on the QB but it'll still be ugly. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think safety is in worse shape.

Has anyone heard anything about Ethan Bonner and Donjae Logan?
I'm operating on the assumption the top four CBs are:
1. Adebo
2. Eboh
3. Butler
4. Williamson*
Wouldn't be surprised to see Williamson bump up to #3, nor would I be surprised to see him moved to Safety depending on how the incoming Frosh class looks.
But wither Bonner and Logan? When they were signed, the consensus seemed to be they were reaches indicating misses on higher targets. Bonner apparently did get into four games last season, not using up a year of eligibility, and Logan did not play in any game. I'm going to read this as Bonner has some potential to be a real contributor and Logan had to get bigger and stronger before he could play.
Anyone know anyone else about these RS Frosh CBs who Stanford fans were underwhelmed about when they signed?

There's nothing wrong with our D that 14 or 15 guys on the field won't fix. I'm a big fan of the 5-5-5 "triple nickel" myself.

Uh, Williamson surpassed Butler midway through last season. They both appeared in 10 games, but Williamson started one and had a lot more PT, often as the nickel back (over Eboh, who seems to have pulled ahead of Williamson in the off-season). Williamson had 16 tackles and 2 PBUs on the season last year (very similar to Eboh). Butler had one tackle and ... that's it.

Add to that a tough schedule, and it is easy to see why many people are not bullish on the Cardinal. But when I try and take a bit more of a balanced look, I try and think about the importance of various positions to the team and our relative experience and talent.
