We last played ASU way back on January 3, and won that game 68-60. It was one of Belibi's best games back when she was starting with 23 points. As we discussed on this board, however, overall the win was too close for our satisfaction considering ASU is not an elite team--perhaps there were signs of Colorado to come. We had great rebounding but significant issues with turnovers, and other than Belibi and Williams no one else was very productive on offense. Going 4/19 from three point range was not helpful, and allowing Jaddan Simmons and Taya Hanson open shots kept ASU in the game.

Since January 3rd, ASU has had six postponements, and went 3-4 in their other games. Their wins have been over Colorado, Southern Utah, and their best win was their last game 67-61 over WSU. They have lost to Utah, UCLA, USC, and most embarrassingly to Washington. Massey has them at #50.
If it were not for CTT and the reliable history of ASU always making things difficult for us, I would be confident that we have the talent to prevail easily. But we never prevail easily over ASU. And...they seem to be coming on strong at exactly the right moment--beating WSU was not a small accomplishment for them.
We are a somewhat different team than we were on January 3. In that game, Belibi had 33 minutes and Brink did not play at all.
