Taylor Yu led her Temple City high school team to a CIF SS championship in their division.  She had 35 kills in a three set match.  Last year the team, without Yu due to injury, won three matches and finished last in their league.  Hopefully someone finds a picture tomorrow of Yu signing a NLI to Stanford.

NCAA's Michella Chester also interviewed Coach Hambly in his office.  I believe she traveled to Stanford to watch tonight's match with Oregon.  That tells you how big this game is in the world of college WVB.

Hambly said his coaching style is completely different from Dunning.   It wasn't until the 2017 loss to Florida in the NCAA tournament that the players decided they were going to buy into Hambly's coaching philosophy.  Of course then a NC in 2018 and 2019.

Hambly refuses to be in any promotional pictures because he believes it should be all about the players.

Hambly said he believes the coaching staff talks to high school teachers and counselors about a potential recruit's academic work habits more than any other WVB program in the country.
