cal storm team taurasi has 11 players this summer. 6 are class of 22, including several we have heard of: hannah stines, elle ladine, chloe briggs. also on the team is chloe briggs '23.
there are a few younger players who may bear watching, including skye belker '23, who attends windward with juju watkins, and addison deal, listed there as '25 but elsewhere as '24. lots of 3's in these highlights.

Absolutely, if that’s what they feel best for them. We all live our own lives and are not in other people’s shoes. If somebody was accepted to Stanford and had it as an option, I’d assume they’re at least somewhat intelligent. Given that, they deserve the respect to be able to make their own decision on what’s the best path forward for themself, not criticism. Success and happiness are not the same for all, and it’s nobody’s place to tell somebody else what should fulfill them in those regards.

I would add two years of Betts, Brink and Iriafen. They have a lot of similarities as players, all are very long and great shot-blockers. And they move very well for their size. And very skilled as well.
And we have big wings who can shoot the three and score in a variety of ways in Demetre and Bosgana.
That leaves Van Gytenbeek and Harriel as the primary ball handlers in the '20-'22 classes and the primary defenders against quick opposing guards. More ball handling and elite guard defense and probably 3-point shooting will be a key focus in the '22 and '23 classes.

Good point, not to forget Prechtel and Belibi. Opponents forget them at their peril, as Louisville certainly learned in the tournament. And having bigs who can have an outside shot is a major plus, and we certainly have that with Brink and Prechtel. In the video, I noted one outside (not 3) from Betts. Would be interesting to see if she develops more of that, but even if she doesn't, she's going to be a force, and what a combination with Brink!

Interesting that Maggie Mendelson is on the U18 usa volleyball training team. The final roster should be released tomorrow. There's a reasonable chance Mendelson will be on the final roster as she is currently ranked the #2 recruit in the country for her class.
Looking at the schedules there doesn't seem to be a conflict in the two tournaments but there may be in practices.
