I moved the niner posts to this thread so they wouldn’t “pollute” the Giants thread.

Deebo Samuel at camp and close to getting his new deal after DK Metcalf - with same agent as Samuel - signed his yesterday.
Free Agent CB Charvarius Ward is turning heads and Richard Sherman says Niners Secondary should be as good as the 2019 unit.
Rookie Spencer Burford has taken all 1st string reps at RG through first two days of practices and Daniel Brunskill has only repped at Center?
Brandon Aiyuk poised for breakout season.
The Defensive Line is LOADED and Javon Kinlaw seems healthy for the first time, poised to make an impact.
Niners may have the best Linebacking unit in the NFL.
Trey Lance looking and sounding comfortable as the starting QB. Never has there been more anticipation to see a new QB on an exceptionally talented roster in Niners history. Reminds me of when a top recruit starts at QB as a RS Frosh in college.
If Lance can just be a game manager, the Niners should be really good and win 10+ games.

Every element of the 49er defense looks to be performing at an extremely high level. DL, LBs, DBs...no weaknesses, and depth everywhere. And from what I gather, expectations on special teams are very high. We've got an All-Pro FB, an All-Pro TE, at least one and maybe more exceptional receivers and running backs. And in spite of the media's very best efforts at creating a QB controversy and raking Shanahan and Lynch over the coals as to (a) trading all those picks for Lance and (b) committing to Lance who showed promise in 2021 and © not trading Super Bowl QB Garoppolo (yet), I think things are looking good at the QB position, and it may end up looking GREAT!
Really, the OL is the only question mark. We have the best LT in history, but there questions about the rest. That's not to say they're bad, but NFL average is probably the best we can hope for. Fun fact: Garoppolo gets criticism for being an average NFL QB, but he had the third quickest average release time among full-time QBs last season. Lance is considerably behind him, which is not unexpected for a very young QB.

1984: QB, OL, DB
1989: QB, WR, DB
1994: QB, WR, RB, TE, DL, DB
The 2022 team has proven Pro Bowl talent at: OL, WR, TE, DL, LB, DB.
It's probably the most talented roster a first time starting QB in his second year has ever started on. The Defense will be one of the top units in the NFL, which will make it easier for Lance to "live to fight another day" rather than force throws that aren't there. If he just runs the offense, limits mistakes, and makes a few plays when the called play breaks down, the Niners should win 10+ games.
Thoughts?

It's possible Outsider. Biggest issue is OL. there are several of immense proportions issues there.

I hope I'm wrong, but I was a Mac Jones guy from way back. . . .
