It’s going to be interesting to see what Shanahan does with McCaffrey. He played a fair amount of snaps today under the circumstances. But by next week he should be the starting running back and the featured running back. You don’t trade all that draft capital get a guy like McCaffrey and then go with running back by committee. And they don’t have the luxury of time .

I thought it was really weird when he brought in the third string rookie back to get a couple of carries in the first half. And frankly I think Deebo Samuels at running back shas run its course. In fact, they need to find a way to get him more involved as a receiver. He has essentially disappeared.

Two h.u.g.e. plays you didn’t mention- a 3d and 20 screen pass that went for about 35 setting up the Chiefs at the 5.  And a third and 13 bomb in which the Niners shut down corner got beat by 5 yards.
Also, Bosa had a lousy game. Probably not close to 100%.
