Just for fun, I asked ChatGPT to provide some details on the NFL careers of players from our 2011 Orange Bowl team (2010 season) that last played Virginia Tech. Here's what it gave me after a lot of nudging and prompting (e.g., "didn't you forget about Ben Gardner, Sione Fua, and Chase Beeler?") My brain says to go with Vegas on this one, but I'm going to wait and see how I feel on Saturday morning (which is the absolute worst way to play this game!)

As I ponder whether to go with my brain or my heart in my prediction this week, and as I listen to Coach's VaTech pregame presser,
I'm wondering if we should start a prediction thread on when Coach might ever refer to our upcoming opponent as something other than "a really good, or really great, team"?
Not to mention "well coached".
Reminds me of Lake Wobegon where every kid is above average.

As I ponder whether to go with my brain or my heart in my prediction this week, and as I listen to Coach's VaTech pregame presser,
I'm wondering if we should start a prediction thread on when Coach might ever refer to our upcoming opponent as something other than "a really good, or really great, team"?

Another comment as watching presser, after playing 2 games in incredibly loud stadiums, I wonder if Coach is really that happy to be returning home to a relatively calm quiet chillaxed game locale? Though hopefully more LSJU students this time, with perhaps a modicum of rabidity being welcome.

On the ACC network, two of the hosts who are knowledgeable about ACC football made many compliments about this Stanford team. They felt the score against Clemson could have been much closer.

Face it. While TT seems like a very good guy, his pressers, both during the week and post-game are utterly boring and devoid of any meaningful information or analysis. Watching them is a waste of time.

That feature doesn't seem to be working correctly.
I think Red Hot is simply the most optimistic and Shame the most pessimistic of the predictions entered so far. So the titles are vacant only when no one has predicted yet, when there's only one prediction it has both, etc.

Run defense is good
Pass defense is bad outside of Collin Wright and occasional pass rush
OL pass blocking is starting to be good (the way bigger problem is who they're blocking for)
OL run blocking isn't great (but they are young, and all of a sudden we have some horses in the backfield too - future looks promising)
Special teams are solid in pretty much every phase
The above is a very legit improvement from last year's team, which - outside of Karty - was bad at almost everything.
