the longest team playoff losing streak has to be a team who was just good enough to get into the playoffs for a long time so maybe

They lost in the Conference championship against the Redskins after the 1991 season and then lost their first playoff game in93, 94, 95, 97, 99, 2011, 2014 and 2016 (they didn’t make the playoffs in the intervening years). The streak finally ended when they beat the LA Rams in the Wildcard game in 2023.

Along those lines, I'm a little surprised that Robert Saleh is getting as much attention as he is for head coach. In 3 1/3rd seasons with the Jets, he went 20-36. His best two seasons, they finished 7-10...although that's better than 3-14 this year.

Belichick, Reid, Couglin and Carroll - All coaches who flopped the first time around and were quite successful when given another chance.
Salah learned a lot in New York (the most important lesson, don’t work for a dysfunctional owner). I think he will be a big success in his next job, especially, if he is working in a good organization.

Salah learned a lot in New York (the most important lesson, don’t work for a dysfunctional owner). I think he will be a big success in his next job, especially, if he is working in a good organization.

Along those lines, I'm a little surprised that Robert Saleh is getting as much attention as he is for head coach. In 3 1/3rd seasons with the Jets, he went 20-36. His best two seasons, they finished 7-10...although that's better than 3-14 this year.
NFL franchises realize that a combo of Lombardi, Walsh and Bellichek couldn’t win with the Jets. Woody Johnson is an idiot.
