Agnes played very well for TCU (rebound beast), but it wasn't enough to beat Texas.
Out of the remaining teams, I have to go with SoCar, Texas, Yukon, and Traitorville as the least appealing.

Agreed that it was a disapproving end to Iriafen’s career. She only shot 3/15 and was 0/11 in the second half. Not sad to see USC lose though.

Thanks, BobK, for the clarification. So she must’ve had a COVID year to play two years at TCU. Glad she got to experience (and contribute to) a deep run.

Pace is so fast, great cutting, moment, the offensive is so crisp. They turn teams over. We should strive to emulate a lot of these concepts in our own style of play.

Yay! Glad that UCLA has been eliminated. Didn't want certain players on their roster to win a championship. So much so that I hoped that Yukon, a team I celebrate when they lose, to destroy the Ruins.
They pummeled Betts, Rice and company easily. They only lose Dugalic (get little Betts) so they will be one of the favorites next year barring transfer outs.
It's back to hoping Yukon loses meaning that I will root for SCar to win yet another championship.

I have it taped - I may watch a little. Another crazy box score. Betts had 26 points and the rest of UCLA 25. I don’t love some of her recent comments since leaving - ok it didn’t work, fine but let it go. That said, it looks like she was the only positive thing in the game for UCLA.
UCLA with 12 more turnovers and 5 fewer rebounds = 8 fewer shots and 9 fewer free throws.

Watched a half. She still looks a lot like she did with us, but with much more plying time. Good hands. Good footwork for her size though not very quick or explosive. Probably a better passer from the post now. Better patience in the post on offense maybe? But it’s a layup or nothing, and only 5 rebounds. It will be interesting to see how well she can translate it to the WNBA eventually against say a Jonquel Jones.
You see the Stanford fit issue clearly though. Tara would have had to design the entire offense around her exclusively parked in the low post; and with Cam and Kiki, that wasn’t how we played. Nor should it have been. If she had stayed, she might have gotten that redesign yr 2 or 3, but obviously she wasn’t happy.

Yeah, hard to believe that this was the same UCLA team that took South Carolina to the woodshed earlier in the year, leading by 20 at the end of three quarters and winning by 15.

Their offense ran, ran and ran, they ran ucla into the hardood. uconn's coaching was outstanding, ucla coaching was seemed totally unprepared and failed to make any adjustments. ucla can recruit players, but it seems over the years the player development and the team play has lagged behind the talent level assembled.

Yeah that's a common criticism of Cori. She is a great recruiter but a not so great game day coach. Well, I think she did pretty well this year until she went up against the Old Fox. Certainly did well against Dawn and figured out how to beat Juju & Co, after two losses.

but it's the uconn defense that was dominant. rapid, unpredictable switching from player-to-player to zone. doubling betts down low, then anticipating her pass to the wing and racing out before ucla could get off a 3. ucla had almost no open shots, and they couldn't hit the few they had. neither jones nor rice could get free. jones in particular looked useless on offense. gardiner and dugalic threw up wild shots before getting set. so many air balls! frankly, ucla looked like us this year against good teams.
Fudd has stated that she's returning to Yukon next year.
