Yeah the offense got a bit sharper and they have hit the open shots they generated, but Clemson is on fire in Q3. Probably out of reach now. And my FUBO sucks. Good excuse to go for a walk o guess.

It’s almost unbelievable that Ogden played so little until the last 6 games. She should have been playing 25 minutes or more all season long and getting a lot of shot attempts.

It is a mark of frustration that the 3rd quarter, in which we scored 14 points, felt like a relief after the 2nd. But our defense gave up 21, so the hole got bigger.
Certain teams really understand our offense and how to stop it. We don't seem to be able to adjust to their defensive schemes, even having played them before.

She hasn’t played much but that doesn’t invalidate your overall point. 0 pts, rebounds, steals, assists and blocks. She isn’t quick enough in games like this.
Though she just scored at the line so 2 pts, 2-3.

I know that next year could be much more promising--just watching Hailee Swain will probably be worth the season tickets. But my enthusiasm has never been lower. It is not just losing, it is the accumulation of all the terrible changes to college athletics piled up on top of losing. We just lost to a team of pretty much all transfer players. Again.
I guess I do hope we sneak into some minor post season tournament, just to give our team more practices if nothing else. And if we get a game at home, it is likely to be a good performance, since being at home seems to be the only consistently positive factor in our favor.

Ugh, part of me wants to move on from this season already.. I know any sort of post season games will be a good experience, but the way the games have gone, it may be too painful. It’s gotten to the point where I look at the scores just to see if we’ve even won 1 quarter at least. I know brighter days are ahead and I’m more so looking forward to next season already.
Did you mean, not start? I’m my opinion, no one should get the start over Nunu, even coming back from injury. MA has played well as of late, but Nunu may have gotten hot as the game went on. She did turn it up a bit, but it was too late .

Our seniors scored a total of 6 points on 2-10 shooting. For their sake, I hope we make a post-season tournament, because that's a brutal way to end their college careers.

We will finish this season with the worst record since Tara went 14-14 in her 2nd year. And in all those years, with three national championships, more than a dozen final fours, and decades of consecutive NCAA appearances, not one of those teams was paid more than this one.
Unfair to say that? Of course it is probably unfair, given the changes that have recently taken place. But in another way it does accurately describe my own feelings. When amateur student-athletes under-perform, I find it easier to be charitable, to stay positive, to realize that their main purpose in life is not to entertain me but to get a first-rate education at a university I care deeply about. But now the motives of college athletes are much more mixed, and so my feelings about the student-athletes I cheer for are also much more mixed. Do we criticize as if we were watching pros, or criticize as if we were watching student-athletes? This discombobulates me.

I’m feeling no postseason. Let’s just put a pin on this difficult, transitional season and move on. If the team collectively wants to keep playing so be it. Accepting a bit to a tournament just to play another game and likely involving more travel…meh.

Well I got Fubo back and finished out. My only final comment is that was a very nice game for Ogden. 13 pts on 6-10 shooting so leading scorer and she was efficient today. The only critique I have is she probably should have doubled her shots in this game. But that isn’t really how this team worked all year and she still tied for most shots today with Clardy; so that is a pretty soft criticism. I hope her last chunk of games rolls smoothly into next season.

I presume Kate is Tara's hand picked successor. From what I have read, Tara was definitely not pro NIL or the Portal; did we even try and compete for those players we lost? Smith has proven that the Portal can work for Stanford. Looking at the roster it doesn't look like we have any transfers. Is the incoming talent enough to turn the program around next year? Being the third ranked class nationally I would assume the answer is yes. Great to have a class like this, but maybe not so great when you have to start competing in terms of NIL payments after next season. I would expect that next year we will have a much better team, if we don't then one has to start wondering about coaching and team chemistry.
