The defense appeared organized...an important Robinson responsibility.
Stanford alum and 49er MIKE linebacker and coverage calling genius Curtis Robinson has called the plays against the Panthers (7-6) and Browns (3-9), allowing nine points against the Panthers and eight points against the Browns. Last time this happened was during the 2019 season during the Super Bowl season. 49ers gave up 3 vs. Browns, 7 vs. Rams and skunked the Redskins 9-0. Defensive coordinator was Robert Saleh in his first season with the 49ers.

3 Stanford alums among the Walter Payton man of the year nominees (one from each team). Solomon Thomas, Curtis Robinson, and Bobby Okereke.

Now there's a guy who stuck with it. He had speed, but weighed about 165 on the farm, and was often injured. Tackling was also an issue. He's generally a practice squad member, or last player on an NFL team. So...very good for him.

I just saw the play on ESPN's highlights. Good for Bonner.
Parkinson caught yet another TD, his 4th of the season and 8th in his NFL career. He had 12 TDs for LSJU in 2017-19.
Ayomanor caught a TD pass too, his 3rd of the season.
Michael Wilson was unstoppable again, a career day with 11 catches, 142 yards and 2 TDs.
Sadly, Ertz and Kyu Blue Kelly suffered knee injuries, possibly ACLs.

sad for the injuries, and I fear could trigger retirement from Ertz. Earlier in that game I watched a play where he made a stupendous block on a wideout screen . . . reminded me of the the versatility he always displayed. And didn't the scouts trash his short t-rex arms? LOL

Dalton Schultz with 3 catches for 22 yards for winning Texans last night.
Some good blocks, but also a badly beaten one that led to a tackle for loss.

I think that was Fleener.
Best wishes for Kelly and Ertz (and all the other NFL guys who were injured yesterday, some are done for the season)...hope their medical teams can see everything and bring them back to full ability.
I just saw that Parkinson TD. Holy cow, what a throw, about 20 air yards by my estimation, on a rope, past three defenders leading Parkinson almost out of his reach, but Parkinson grabs and secures the ball as he's spun down by the ball's momentum. He's done well in the absence of Tyler Higbee, but there are too many talented pass-catchers with the Rams for Parkinson to be a featured guy. If the Rams can keep scoring and stay healthy, Parkinson could find himself deep into the playoffs.

Ertz and his T-Rex arms have now caught 825 passes in the NFL, 5th most by a TE in history. He is only behind Tony Gonzales, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates, and Travis Kelce. Pretty great company!

Parkinson with a career day for the surging Rams. 5 receptions, 75 yards, 2 TDs. Now has 6 TDs for the season, all in the last 6 games, 4th best among NFL tight ends. Can he do it again on TNF in Seattle?
Another LSJU tight end, Schultz with 8 receptions, 76 yards, 1 TD.
CMC with his usual TD.
Michael Wilson caught another TD. Has career season highs in receptions, yards, TDs. With 3 games to play.

Great fun to watch Colby Parkinson, he's doing such a great job.
Curtis Robinson was second on the 49ers with seven tackles, three solo tackles and a deflected pass.

I really hope Colby gets a shot at the TE1 job once Tyler Higbee is healthy. I like the Rams as long as Stafford is playing at a high level (ok, yeah, duh), and seeing Colby succeed there is a nice feeling.

From watching part of the game I saw Elic Ayomanor caught a pass for the Titans against the Niners this week.

Michael Wilson had himself a nifty touchdown catch today against the Falcons (it was initially ruled not a catch, but the ball never touched the ground).
Ayomanor was the leading receiver for the Titans today (58 yards on 3 receptions).
Niners play tomorrow but clinched a playoff spot.

I saw David Shaw on the sidelines during the telecast of the Lions game. The Lions offense has been mostly quite good this season, including the passing game for which Shaw ostensibly is responsible, so some credit to Shaw for that.

Paulson Adebo has another interception for the Giants off a deflected pass by the wide receiver.
Hate that Karty is now on the Rams' practice squad.
I saw McKee with mop up duty for the Eagles. Drew Dalman snapped the ball over the running back in a trick wildcat formation (snap had to go between the TE's legs who was pretending to take the snap from center).
Austin Hooper made a tough catch for the Patriots at the one yard line. Schultz caught a goal line TD. Okereke's name was called a few times in the Giants game. I saw Solomon Thomas get called for offsides at the goal line which only cost his team inches. Higgins also had a nice run after catch for the Cardinals.

Can't-Miss Play: How did he catch that? Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson hauls in incredible 32-yard touchdown
