Ugh, can't believe I'm saying this, Bring Back Walker. And, while you are at it, remind Chapman he has a bat in his hands, not a shovel.

His stats have fallen off since the numbers you cited were posted. Smith is a platoon guy and there is no place for him in SF’s lineup. Devers at 1B and Eldridge at DH are a better combo than Smith and either Rafi or Bryce.
If you want to talk about stupid moves, pinning your starting rotation hopes on Houser/Mahle takes the cake with the failure to sign a major league closer a close second.

The good news is that all three of the Giants main minor-league teams are in first place in their respective leagues, so at least Randy Winn is doing his job.

Former LSJU star Erik Miller was part of the bullpen meltdown. He had given up only 2 ER all month, but surrendered a 2-out, 2 run single (in the 7th) to Langeliers, who had looked lost in his previous at bats, that started the A's comeback.
I'm not wowed by Devers body language and demeanor. He struts around like he's Babe Ruth but the way he's going, will his career end up being any better than, say, Chili Davis?

I’ll settle for Chili Davis. I saw him make a full extension diving catch in right center once that just had the fans gasping.
