Very sorry to hear about Buddy. I had a 45 minute conversation with him right after he took the HC position. Delightful man.  My condolences to his family and to the Dartmouth community.

I'd like to add another voice to the chorus of those who affirm that Buddy Teevens was an incredibly decent, friendly, upbeat, open, and thoughtful person. It was very good to see him have such success at Dartmouth after his tenure at Stanford. I am deeply saddened to learn of Buddy's death. I will think about it every time I go out for a bike ride. Tragic way to go. I know this is purely anecdotal, but since the pandemic, I have the impression that people's driving has gotten worse: more speeding, much more impatience, more rage, more risky moves, more going through stop signs by both cars and bicyclists, etc. Driving and biking defensively makes even more sense these days.
