Dartmouth has named its football stadium after Coach Teevens. The Manning brothers and their dad Archie, close friends of Buddy, mentioned it during the MNF telecast.

He was a sweetheart of a guy. Talked with me for 45 minutes just prior to coming here, to talk about his plans for Stanford football.

I always wondered...they were 4-7 his last season, losing three games by three points (including to #1 USC and #23 Arizona State) and one game by five points. He was close to a bowl game, he was. Of course, that 41-6 loss to Cal didn't help much...

Yeah, I think we were all rooting for Buddy to succeed and when he went 4-2 in 2004 with the losses being close ones to U$C and ND, it looked like he just might be getting it done. Then we lose the next five games in a row.
