I agree that JK has the tools to succeed in the NBA, but probably not within the Warriors system. He just lacks the intuitive understanding of the read and react style the warriors play. Incidentally this is an area where moody has really improved. He used to be a step slow in keeping the offense moving. Now when he gets the ball it's either an immediate pass, immediate shot, or attacking a close out/advantage situation. Moody is also a good on ball and team defender. JK is good on ball, but doesn't play defense within the team concept well. Incidentally this is a big reason why our D has been number 1 since the all star break. Wiggins is a better on ball defender then jimmy, but Jimmy is an elite team defender while Wiggins is not. This combined with fewer Kuminga minutes and more moody/GP2/podz minutes, plus the general increase in intensity is why our defense has gotten much better.
The ideal outcome for us and JK is a sign and trade, i'd love to target Cam Johnson on the nets as we need size and spacing. If we can't get him, ironically trading JK to the heat to get Wiggins back could be a win.
As for this series, I really like the Warriors chances. If the refs call a tight game, it favors us since Jimmy will live at the line and Steph will feast if they aren't allowed to bear hug him for 48 minutes. If the refs let both teams play prison ball like in game 1, I still like our chances since Steph and Jimmy are elite tough shot makers, while the Rockets only have Sengun who can score buckets through physical defense.
There will undoubtedly be 1 or 2 games where they hit 3s at an above average rate and we commit too many turnovers in the face of their ball pressure, but I'm thinking Warriors in 5.
