Yup, salary caps create very weird economic logic.

I wonder if any of these would be doable: 

Forwards / Wings

• Mikal Bridges — A prototypical two-way wing: good defense, reliable 3-point shooter, and can slot into multiple lineups. He is projected to be a free agent in 2026.
  
• Kristaps Porziņģis — A stretch forward option. If healthy, he provides size, spacing, and shooting. He is projected as a 2026 free agent. 
  

Centers / Big Men

• Jusuf Nurkić — An established big who can rebound and provide post scoring. He is listed among 2026 UFA centers.
  
• Zach Collins — Offers mobility and shooting from the big spot; might be an interesting compromise center option. 
  

(These are premium names — landing them would require serious financial commitment or trade assets.)
