Because that wouldn't fit the occasional narrative here that LSJU WBB players and coaches are underperforming and underachieving??
Or maybe because it was pretty clear that, if Louisville hadn’t done a 3d string line change substitution with about 2 minutes to go, the margin of victory probably would have been 10+ more than it was.
It was great that our team kept fighting to the end. I hope they START with that much energy against ND. They’re going to need it, because I’m sure ND will do everything they can to avoid going 0-2 on this road trip.
This doesn’t explain that Stanford “won” the 3rd quarter 16-15. That being said, there’s a reason that the game is 40 minutes, an we have won games easily where the opponent held its own or even beat us for a stretch. Yeah, after being down 18 at the half, it could have gone even more sideways than it did, and I’m glad we played better. But I wouldn’t read too much into it; over the course of 40 minutes, Louisville beat us handily.
