I think the math largely supports his approach (probably more so in high school than it would in college or the pros).  Coaches generally overvalue field position, and they generally punt too much.

It seems to always work against Stanford. I swear every time an opponent goes for it on fourth down they end up getting a touch down. I'm obviously exaggerating, but it drives me nuts how often it happens.
