but it's the uconn defense that was dominant. rapid, unpredictable switching from player-to-player to zone. doubling betts down low, then anticipating her pass to the wing and racing out before ucla could get off a 3. ucla had almost no open shots, and they couldn't hit the few they had. neither jones nor rice could get free. jones in particular looked useless on offense. gardiner and dugalic threw up wild shots before getting set. so many air balls! frankly, ucla looked like us this year against good teams.
Fudd has stated that she's returning to Yukon next year.
thanks for the friendly amendment. she's a grad student this year. i didn't realize you could play more than 1 year as a grad student. will next year be her covid year?
maybe another example of you now get much more money if you stay in school as a star women's basketball player than if you go to the nba.
Fudd completed her fourth academic year and third year of eligibility (she redshirted her junior year after tearing her right ACL). She is a graduate student because she earned her undergraduate degree in three years. Most masters programs are two years; at Stanford you can get a co-terminal degree, which typically involves getting an undergraduate and masters degrees in five years.
From this letter to the Connecticut Assembly (https://www.cga.ct.gov/2024/appdata/TMY/...ts-TMY.PDF) I think she was planning on getting her master's in sports management, but may be pursuing an MBA.
