TBH I don't have a good pulse on this game. Haven't watched a BC game in years. I do believe playing at home will give the card a slight boost but that may just be it. I'm going to say we will but it may be a struggle.

And, his record at OSU *is* much better than what he has shown in two games at Stanford. Basically, he’s a 60% completion, ~7 yards/attempt QB while at OSU, compared to about 50% completion, ~4 ypa in two games this year at Stanford.
So, the question is whether Gulbranson just had a bad two games stretch that is not representative of his play, or if he is a bad fit for the system or the weaknesses at other positions exacerbate his own shortcomings.

It’s door #3. Those teams at OSU had beasts on the O-Line. He was rarely under any pressure thanks to his running game and protection. They had 5 ypa and 200 yards rushing per game. There’s no point in comparing his stats from a 10-3 Oregon State team to what he can do for us.
Until proven otherwise, it’s bleak.

He had to get away from TT, I think, and he didn't know TT was going to be let go. If it was a play for mental health, I understand that.

It is also possible he believes that a new coaching staff may make him better as a passer. So far, no indication it has, but who knows?(09-13-2025, 11:21 PM)fullmetal Wrote:(09-13-2025, 05:42 PM)lex24 Wrote: I wonder how much Ashton Daniels got paid to be the third string quarterback at Auburn.

The answer to the question is $1.5M over 2 seasons.
