Finally, who was the first full time female news anchor in the Bay Area?
Art Finley - Mayor Art
HR Champ - Tony Conigliaro (also the answer to who hit an HR at Candlestick as the celebrity entrant just after I hit a medium deep flyball to CF in a batting contest sponsored by Long’s Drugs).
One-legged personality - Dan Sorkin (lost a leg in a motorcycle accident).

Good job Giants. That's three.
Passer tied with Elway... Jeff Tedford FSU.
We played the AAA championship at CP in 1962. Beat Bal 2-0. Soph year, our starter went CG with only a couple of hits so I had a DNP. However shagged BP in the OF. Windy! Bet I only caught half the balls hit my way.

Conigliaro was the one I knew. What a sad case. Closest I’ve seen to a hitter getting killed with a pitch.Had 104 HRs about 100 games into his 4th year when it happened. He was 22. What could have been….

George Lamont... Fireman Frank
Captain Fortune... Pete Abenheim
Three Amigos... Van Amberg (actually Fred Van Amberg), Pete Giddings, Jerry Jenson of KGO and the intrepid Dave Louie walking down the SP tracks with a penis wrapped in a towel. Greatest standup ever.
Lou Hurley flew his helo out of the Sausalito marine air terminal just off 101. Hie dog's name was Myrtle.
Don Sherwood uttered the word Navajo and got suspended.
Wanda Ramey was the first full-time local anchor.

42 years ago today, the “miracle on ice” Us Hockey team won a gold medal in the 1980 Winter Olympics in lake placid.
Contrary to popular belief, the famous match against the USSR did not give the Americans a gold medal, since the medal round was a round robin.
Which team did the US beat to clinch the gold medal?
BC
Also, in that game for the gold medal, the US was trailing 2-1 at the end of the second period. What did US coach Herb Brooks say to his players during intermission?

Something along the lines of "if you lose this game you will take it with you to your graves".

Between you and TC, you guys got it. You can count on Phogge to get the salty language, and you got the substantive portion correct.
“If you lose this game, you'll take it to your f***ing graves.” He then added, for emphasis “your f***ing graves”
