Splitting hairs Giants.
Bonds and Winn went to high school in the Bay Area. If you are born in the Bay Area nobody asks you where you were born, they ask you where you went to high school. It’s happened to me thousands of times.

Longest down and distance I could find was fourth and 74, in a 1970 game between the Raiders and Steelers.

First and 10, 7 yard loss.
Second and 17, 16 yard loss
Third and 33, 15 yard penalty after a 6 yard gain
Third and 42, 10 yard holding penalty at the spot of the foul, -23 yards (ouch!)
Third and 65, intentional grounding, 9 yard penalty and loss of down, which may have been a mercy
Fourth and 74, 55 yard punt, which, while impressive, doesn’t make it to the original line of scrimmage.
The Patriots had a fourth and 63 in 1971 as well.
As for the longest sack, Ryan Tannehill was sacked for a loss of 38 yards in 2015, though it involved a fumble.

The Court voted 5-4 in favor of the overruled objection with the San Francisco native sons voting as a bloc.

I actually saw Brady play when Bellarmine's QB was Pat Burrell. Serra beat Bellarmine in 1994 and 1995, 12-10 and 27-22. Serra didn't finish all that well, going 5-5 and 6-4 and Tom Brady wasn't 1st or 2nd team All-CCS (he finished HM). 1994 All-CCS QB was Brian Vye of Leland (went to and transferred from BYU, LSU, Gavilan, finally landing at SJSU where he ended up a backup for Baldwin). 1995 All-CCS QB was Gus Farwell of Los Gatos. His dad was Stanford's crew coach. Farwell backed up his roommate Jake Plummer on ASU's Rose Bowl team.
There are a few others I'd like to have seen. Craig Morton, Campbell High. Pastorini. Dan Fouts. I'd really have liked to have seen my dad's QB, Bob Berry (all-American at Oregon, backed up a two-years older Fran Tarkenton at Minnesota, started for Atlanta, All-Pro in 1969).

Geez, I am old enough to say that I played against one the the added names on Mick’s list (baseball not football) - Dan Pastorini. He is on my personal Mt. Rushmore of guys I competed against in HS. The others being Steve Brye and Bernie Williams (St. Elizabeth’s-Oakland) and Chris Speier (Alameda).
All of them hit prodigious HR’s against us…..

Russell, Silas, Robinson, Pinson, Tolliver, Ed Thomas, Joe Ellis, Billy Raimondi and the Pointer Sisters all went to McClymonds.
Mick, don't believe everything you read on Baseball Reference. Last time I spoke with Crosetti (historical interview for MLB) I asked him about why he hadn't gone to Galileo (Dimaggios, Lazzeri). He said he dropped out of Lowell when he was 16.
Baseball Ref also has Gus Triandos graduating from Mission San Jose High. Horseshit. He went to Mission HS on 18th St. and Delores in The City. I still speak with an old teammate of his (95 yrs).

Jeffries dad was a little ahead of me at State. He trained Gregg from infancy. He taught him to switch hit and had him swing underwater in a swimming pool.
