Didn't get a lot of great ballers coming out of Seattle. All the best local Seattle talent were sixth-man types (Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford), substitute guards (Jason Terry), career "What-ifs" (Brandon Roy), or career defenders (Doug Christie).

If the World Series ever finally does get started, it appears that Justin Verlander will be the starting pitcher for the 12th time in a post-season series Game 1. This will tie him with one other pitcher. Who is that?

I cracked the code - Phogge is related to Whitey Ford. :)

But a lot of Latinos. I could care less what color a player is. It's just CAN HE PLAY. I play golf on Wednesdays with three black guys among our 16. They are just GUYS. Fantastic guys. They laugh, swear, fart just like me.
MLB needs to financially support baseball at the lowest levels. Not "Look at what we do" lip service but support with proactive aid in diamond building and upkeep, massive equipment subsidies and promotion of the sport at the lowest levels of income and opportunity in ALL communities.
I shot 25 WS for MLB. You can't even begin to know how massively MLB has its head up its kazoo until you are inside the system.
