"I" also played for the 49ers, where as a halfback I caught 12 passes, four for touchdowns!
"I" am Caroll Hardy. The story of the pinch hit for Williams is interesting. Williams fouled a ball of his foot so Hardy came in to finish the at bat, and promptly hit into a double play.

Bill Madlock was a Giant and won several batting titles, but I don't remember him being a switch hitter, nor hitting two grand slams in a game.
Fernando Tatis Sr. hit two grand slams in one game, but I don't remember him winning a batting title, nor playing for the Giants, nor being a switch hitter.
Tony Cloninger hit two grand slams in a game, but he was a pitcher so he wouldn't have won a batting title, and I don't think he ever played for the Giants.
In other words, I've got no idea.
