Yep, D has played hard and been fairly effective. Brown looks like he needs a yr or half yr of seasoning. He's not anticipating quickly enuf. Of course, he hasn't had a ton of time often. But...

The 1983 LSJU/Wiggin team's worst stretch was a 4-game losing streak where the team was outscored 96-42.
The 2006 LSJU/Wlat team had a 6-game losing streak where the team was outscored 235-39.

I’m not ready to bring out the pitch forks but for a guy touted as an offensive guru, we’ve scored 38 points in our last 4 games.
We’re past the halfway mark of year 2 of the rebuild and it still doesn’t look good nor promising.

Among SMU's opponents, only Houston Christian scored fewer points (7) than Stanford. All others scored at least 16. Going into the game, SMU tied for 55th nationally in scoring defense.
If you are wondering, Wake Forest before their last game ranked No. 120 in scoring defense.
(EDIT: If you're into niche stats, Stanford, after the SMU game, is in a three-way tie for No. 131 nationally with 4.1 yards per play, per TeamRankings. Last year, Stanford's ypp was 4.8.)

Since the Syracuse game, Stanford's been outscored by 122 points during a four-game losing streak and allowed 70 consecutive points before scoring late in the first half last night. Oh, and Stanford has lost 11 straight home games against FBS opponents -- and 16 straight against ranked teams since beating No. 3 Oregon 31-24 on Oct. 2, 2021. That's three years of suckage. Regression to the mean? This is a historic suck.
